We Are A New Kind of Gym…For The Human Mind

A Unique Brain Training Facility Teaching Science-Based Practices and Offering Solo Meditation Spaces

Hundreds of studies show that the benefits of meditation are numerous and wide-ranging, from improved performance and well-being, to stress reduction and pain management. Yet even knowing that it requires as little as 10 minutes per day to feel results, we struggle, as busy professionals, to make a lasting daily habit of it. Consistency is needed to enjoy most of the benefits, and yet that eludes most.

At the Peace & Quiet Club, we will offer instruction in many science-backed methods to improve your cognition. Backed by rigorous studies, our methods don’t include tarot cards, crystals, or sage (nothing against those!) Nor do we approach meditation like a weekly yoga class. What we offer is the industrial-strength training being studied in universities worldwide. While most newcomers experience improvements after only days or weeks, this “CPU upgrade” takes work and commitment, just like building your body. But like physical training, with momentum the practice can become enjoyable and rewarding. In the end though, this is not about how you feel when meditating. It’s about how you feel all day. And this stuff really works.

Our goal is to provide members with the guidance, support, and community needed to establish a life-changing meditation habit. There is no need to believe anything, nor is there anything mystical about our methods. Those things have their place, but they aren’t part of our approach. We are focused on building skills to increase your enjoyment of life and your efficacy as a human being. Whether you are considering learning to meditate, or are an adept meditator, we are building the perfect place to stop in for your daily sit. We hope you will stay and make friends while you are here.

Solo Meditation “Escape Pods”

Petite, sound-controlled meditation rooms provide the perfect micro-vacation from the distractions and insanity of modern culture, and are a perfect place to train the mind. Reserve your spot using the app, or just drop in to use a pod for up to an hour. Pods are nearly silent, and include a choice of comfortable cushion, bench, or chair.

Silent Group Practice

Join a group or bring your friends to practice together. Group rooms operate on rolling 30-45 minute schedules, allowing you to drop in anytime and join the next group sitting. Often the sessions feature a quick introductory word by a teacher in order to set the tone.

Self-Led Practice

Staff and guest teachers are here to guide you. We welcome newcomers, and provide casual, walk-in instruction to all members. Instructors provide posted “office hours” and schedule group discussions on a wide variety of techniques and topics. We encourage you to try different styles and decide which works best for you. Touch base periodically with teachers to review progress and deepen your practice.

Individual and Group Retreats

Our retreat space, separated from the main studio, allows members to spend full days in practice for a fraction of the cost of a typical retreat. Amenities include dedicated meditation spaces, restroom, kitchen, common area, and a walking path.

A Unique Social Club

Our facility is a friendly, calming place by design. We have a unique code of conduct for members that we take very seriously:

No complaining.
No loud or harsh speech.
No gossip.
No electronic noise.

We don’t ask that you abandon these – just that you leave them outside.

Bring It All Home

Our goal is to foster a lifelong practice that can improve every aspect of your well-being. To help you extend your skills outside these walls, we stock a variety of books and aids, from meditation guides to cushions, benches, and bowls. We also embrace newer devices and emerging technologies like biofeedback headsets and meditation apps.

We Have Created An Ideal Place To Train The Brain

We live by our name – this is a peaceful, quiet place!

  Meditation areas have been created with sound-dampening construction, making a very quiet place to observe your mind.

  The lounge is sound-controlled and isolated from practice areas. We encourage you to linger, make new friends, and learn.

  We serve a variety of teas, snacks, and other concessions to keep you comfortable.

  Our “no drama” code of conduct prevents unhelpful habits from invading the space and hindering everyone’s progress. 

We Aim To Fit Anyone’s Busy Lifestyle

We want training the mind to  be a part of your daily routine

  We are open from 5 am-midnight daily, allowing you to fit the visit in like your daily workout

  Reserve a private space any time of day using our app to ensure there is no waiting. Stay up to an hour. 

  Silent group meditation sessions are on a rolling schedule, starting every 30-40 minutes

  At least one instructor is always available in the lounge. We want you to ask questions and dive deeper.
